The September Mystery Plant is a common native herb that blooms from August to October and reaches about 1 to 3 feet in height. The compound flowers are ¾ to 1 inch wide with yellow centers and white rays. The coarsely toothed leaves alternate on purplish stems and lower leaves are heart-shaped. One of our best and most dependable fall bloomers in dry woods and clearings.
