This common wetland emergent herbaceous species has small 3-parted green flowers that bloom in summer in the axils of alternating leaves. The leaves range from sharply toothed above- to comb-like leaves underwater. Plants range from 6” -12” in height. Usually found in muddy shorelines, such as at Blue Pond in Hopkinton.
