The mystery plant for June 2021 is an annual 1-2.5 feet tall. The stems are pubescent and have spines which are 3-9mm long. The leaves are alternate and pinnnate, 2-3” long and 1-2.5” wide. The margins of the leaves are not toothed and the flowers are yellow in color. The leaf petioles are 1- 3” long and the leaves are irregularly lobed. The fruit is a spine-covered berry.
