This mystery plant for January, 2019 has no stem leaves. All of the leaves are basal and they are divided into several leaflets. The flowers are lilac-purple in color and have conspicuous orange stamens. The petals are glabrous and the flower has a very short spur. This plant blooms from late April to middle of June and can be found growing along woods trails and open areas.
