The mystery plant for November has very unusual looking flowers. The flowers are yellowish in color, 5 lobed with the 4 lobes on top being almost identical while the lobe on the bottom looks entirely different. This lobe is quite wide and fringed pink and white. The leaves are opposite and toothed. This plant grows 2-4 feet tall. It is usually found in rich woods, occasionally in seasonally wet soil and blooms from July through September. The leaves and flowers are said to have a citronella-like fragrance when crushed.
