What plant is that?

The mystery plant for October is a shrub with alternate, compound leaves and rose or pink-purple colored flowers. It grows to a height of 3 to 6 feet tall.  It has large clusters (racemes) of pea-shaped flowers.  The sepals are often covered with glandular hairs while the stems are thickly beset with bristly hairs.  These shrubs produce pods with seeds, but the seed is seldom fertile.  This shrub blooms from late May through the month of June.
