The mystery plant for August is a small trailing vine which forms mats and has opposite, evergreen leaves.  The leaves are small, roundish in shape with veins of green or white.  The flowers have four lobes and occur in pairs. The petals are white with long soft hairs on the inside.  The fruit is a small, red, twin berry.  This plant grows in woods and blooms from mid-June to late July.
